"Highly ranked" or "ranked highly"

Hello,

Which of the 2 sentences is correct?

1. He is ranked highly among the students

OR

2. He is highly ranked among the students

Thanks.

They're both correct. Of course there's some ambiguity with the passive voice as to the identity of the actor(s). But the problem exists regardless of which version you choose.
