Highest paid/Highest paying

Hello,

Can we use "highest paid" instead of "highest paying" in the sentences below?

- Ever wonder where the highest-paying jobs in your field are?

- The city of St. Louis still has the highest-paying jobs, on average, in the region.

I did a bit of research and "highest paying" seems to be a lot more common. However, "highest paid jobs" is still used. What do you think?

Thank you.

Gene93 What do you think? If you want to be really accurate, the jobs 'pay' (more or less) and the employees are paid, so it should be highest-paying jobs and highest-paid employees . In practice, this is "all over the place" in terms of what people choose.
