HIGHER TALLER

Is this how to say it?

The ceiling doesn't get any higher,taller in the kitchen. The height of the ceiling is 2m50 everywhere in the house.

A building can be TALL. The TOP of the building is HIGH, because it's a long way from the ground, but the building itself is built on the ground, so the building is TALL. Just like a TALL person, it stands up, so the TOP of it is HIGH. (Of course, it's not just the top of a building that can be HIGH; even the 2nd floor is HIGH in a way.)
