High Prices State

Hi, there are times where products and services get too expensive because of various reasons, for example, a one dollar coke becomes three dollars or maybe rent rates double, when someone wants to complain in a general way and in addressing all the high prices, what do they say? Can they say "Ah, this costliness is breaking my back" ? I'm looking for a the most common word for high prices in general, in a country. Thanks for your time.
