High-end

If I describe a party as a high-end party, is it then a party with some high-end people or is it an upscaled party of high quality?

Is high-end a common adjective to put before party?

Top answer

high-end usually refers to the most expensive of a range of products, eg a Rolls Royce car. It also applies to other things, eg a fancy restaurant. But I've never seen it used to describe a party.
