0Hello. Could someone tell me what it means to "hide in plain sight?" I came across with this phrase in an article that discusses the massacre at Virginia Tech. The phrase was used in the following sentence: Cho Seung-Hui was the mystery hiding in plain sight, a man who wore a hat and sun glasses inside, a student with no Facebook page. 02br

It basically means so obvious that you don't see it, or pay any attention to it, or it doesn't even cross your mind. 02br 02br 00Imagine if someone was spreading gossip about you and you were confiding in your best friend, but you had no idea who it could be spreading gossip about you.
