HICCUPS + NAUSEOUS

Dear Teachers,

1. What's the matter with you, lady?

- I have a stomachache / I have a backache / I have a bloody nose.

- I've got the hiccups.

- My leg / my hand has the cramps.

- I feel so dizzy / I feel so nauseous.

- Are these natural?

Thanks a lot to Teachers,

Stevenukd.

I would change one:

My leg / hand has a cramp or There's a cramp in my leg / hand

Otherwise, OK, Steve.

I have a ****** nose - this suggests an injury - someone has punched her on the nose?

I have a nose bleed - her nose is doing that 'nostrils dripping blood for no apparent reason' thing.

Or:
I have leg cramps.

The "What's the matter with you, lady?" part isn't very natural if you are making a genuine inquiry about her health. Perhaps Americans are just very rude, but when I read that, I pictured someone not doing what you expected her to do - for example, the traffic light has changed, but she doens't move her car. That's what is yelled at her.

In the U.S., "lady" is often now used, I'm sorry t
