What is the meaning of sentence " I would like to bowl a bouncer to..........

It is quite a vague sentence to tell the right meaning as it is written out of a context but to bowl may be interpreted as to serve or to strike a ball... bouncer may be a noun formed on the base of bounce (move quickly up, back, or away from a surface after hitting it) So that I suppose it means that He would like to perform a specific strike which should bounce off something(maybe with especial curve or twist... or something like that)...

There are many ways of doing this. Very often, for example, the ball is bowled so that it will hit the ground quite close to the batsman and then rise close to his feet

However, if the ball is bowled at a shorter distance then it will rise
