HI-Verb phrase confusion

I encountered a verb phrase which I found rather difficult and it confused me and some of my colleagues. Here's the sentence: "These offices will be open/ed on 15th and 16th of May 2011."

The point is that these offices will be working only during this short period and will close after the 16th of May.

Which is the correct form?

These offices will be open or opened?

And please try to give some explanations regarding the grammar rules that govern this particular point of grammar.

In my language it is quite easy to say such a thing but in English it is a bit complecated if any of you would try to explain a bit, thank you in advance.
