Hi There! Could someone have a quick look at my motivation latter? Thanks so much in advance

Despite of my strong background in business as well as in market Research and Techniques I always felt that my vocation in life does not belong business, but rather in humanitarian work. In this way, I always bear in mind to do work that has a positive and beneficial effect on society rather than look for lucrative positions or financially rewarding work. Particularly, I am truly fascinated about humanitarian logistics field not only due to the intriguing and uniqueness of this field which offer a distinctive and valuable way to acquire and deliver vital requested supplies and services at the places and times in the immediate aftermath of any disaster, but also its immense and immediate effect on the recently affected area and its people.

To begin with my academic background, I gained excellent knowledge in several disciplines of management and logistics while studying my majors in Business Management as well as Marketing which enable me to be a multi-skilled person with a great development potential. During that time, I have developed all the skills and necessary abilities required to perform the job of a logistics specialist effectively. Moreover, I developed a technical and innovative mindset and exceptional understanding of deducing new and innovative strategies for organization so as to reduce costs exponentially. In addition to this, I became well versed in Dosimis-3, one of the fastest simulation software for material flow, production and processes. To that end, I believe that combining my abilities with the knowledge taught in your Master’s Program in the field of humanitarian relief, would equip me with greater proficiency to develop my vocational profession in the logistics sector. The fact that the program combines theory and practical experience is excellent and this will definitely further improve my methodological knowledge and technical assistance expertise with which I will able to make a real difference through my work in the discipline of international cooperation.

Outside the academic context, I am keen on learning about foreign cultures and exchanging ideas with people from different backgrounds. As a result, I enjoy travelling and understanding how dissimilar environments result in different traditions and social behaviours which make me have an immense respect for diversity. As a case in point, I spent 9 months on a scholarship living in Poland and I have resided in the Netherlands for the last three years. In both places I have established numerous friendships with many people which highly enriched my cultural appreciation and significantly broadened my horizons. I am passionate for languages as well as have the ability to learn new ones. I am fluent in Spanish and Catalan (mother tongues) and English, besides having an intermediate knowledge of Dutch, which gives me the ability to work in Anglophone and Hispanic working areas. On the contrary, planning and organizing are two most important things for both my professional and social life. Also, I believe that focusing on details on a work is the most effective way to make a good job better. It is my obsession that if something is mentioned with my name; at least it should be close to defined as perfect. Wherever I go, I enjoy organizing activities which make the people around me get together and share their interests. Creating and having a team spirit with other people is the most challenging but on the other hand the most enjoyable thing for me. Not only in my professional life but also in my social life, I believe, I am good at creating this spirit.

Being from Spain, I have witnessed the terrible terrorist attack in Madrid on 2004, also known in Spain as 11-M. Since then, I was fully aware of the benefits of humanitarian action and this notion has always been my main motivation to work in this field. Therefore, taking part in your Master’s will compliment my background and help me fulfill my future career plans which are to become a great logistic planner in the humanitarian field. Hence, I am highly interested in the Master’s Programme offered by the *** University because of its multidisciplinary nature which provides a diversity of viewpoints and expertise. I am also interested in the bringing together of academic and practical experience that the programme provides. Therefore, as much as I acknowledge the benefits of the universities of the Netherlands in general, however, I feel that the time for the next step has come for me now. Since long ago, I have been fascinated by English language and culture, but although I have studied English for almost 10 years now, I have never had the chance to practice it in reality. The excellent feedback I got for your university has convinced me that *** would be the most outstanding place to begin this endeavour. I was particularly pleased to see that you offer the unique Master’s all over the world which combines humanitarian aid and logistics since this is the direction I would like to pursue in my future career. I regard myself an explorative and ambitious person, so I feel that this program will be the perfect challenge for me!

Are you still looking for someone to look over your letter? I have glanced through it and found that it reflects a high level of fluency in English and that the nature of your errors does not interfere with understanding it. In my opinion, your errors should not be an obstacle to your acceptance in the program.
