Hello

My self Ann and I have started writing English few days ago. i would like to know whether my writing style is ok or what i need to do to improve my English writing.

During my learning period i observe, i could not keep in my mind new words which i am finding through my reading time. Please give me some idea or trick to remember the new words.

1. When you find a new word, decide if it's a useful word to learn.

2. If it is, write it in a notebook, with the English word on the left, and the meaning in your own language on the right.

3. Take the notebook with you everywhere. When you have a free moment, cover the right-hand side of the page, and see whether you can remember the meanings of the words on the left. Then do the reverse.

4. If you do not remember the meaning of a word, put an X next to it. Next time you test yourself, do only the words you have marked with an X.

5. If you still find it difficult to remember a word, find a word in your own language that sounds like it. Then make a picture in your mind that combines the meaning of the English word with the sound of the word in your own language. Make the picture as nonsensical as possible. That way, you'll remember it more easily. (It also helps to learn difficult words in phrases, as well as on their own.)

6. If you have a cassette recorder, you could also record yourself speaking the English words, followed by their meanings in your own language, and then play back the tape on a Walkman in your spare moments.

7. One thing to remember: if you learn a list of words today, revise the list tomorrow. Otherwise you'll forget most of the list.

"myself" is one word and "During my learning preiod i observe..." dosen't flow well.

I would suggest using the same procedure, but with cards, as an alternative to a note-book. I find cards more useful as, when I am testing myself, there is less temptation to just look at the word which I am trying to remember, as I would have to turn over the card then, whereas with a note-book you just have to look on the left of the page.

And, in addition to the revision tip, the list of words has to be revised not just once, the next day, but many times.
