Hi teachers please help me with this

Susan "What about your dad? He must be very disappointed with you."

Tina "He probably is."

Susan looked at her with concern, but Tina didn't seem interested in going/getting deep into it, so Susan dropped it and left for the bathroom.

Can I say "going-" or "getting deeper into it" to explain that Tina didn't seem like talking more about it? If not, what else could I say?

And is "dropped it" ok as well?
