Some people think the government funding should not be used for supporting art and culture, others think supporting cultural activities may be beneficial for the population and the culture. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

These days, it is true that art and culture play a crucial role in mankind’s society. However, some people suppose that government should not investigate cash for art and culture. Meanwhile, others believe that there are numerous profits for inhabitants and the culture. This essay will discuss these views and my own perspective.

On the one hand, the government cash needs to focus on welfare instead of subsidizing for art and the culture. Firstly, many people are facing with ton of difficulties in daily life. In poor countries, people live under the poverty line and lack many things such as food staff, water supply and medicine. More importantly, upgrading the infrastructure system needs to have a priority over art and culture. For example, if the transportation road was repaired and widened, the economy would develop strongly and help the nation receive more income. Last but not least, education is the psyche of a nation which decides whether this country develop or not and it really needs this source of money.

On the other hand, art and culture are the bridge for us to be cognitive about many things which we have never known before. Firstly, they will show some special periods events in the past. People can understand about the long-standing history of their country through some works. Secondly, art and culture depict a charming picture about the feature and the symbol of the country. For example, when the president Obama came to Vietnam, he ate a food namely “bun cha”, many artists draw a lot of arts about this. As a result, people see this food, they know it belongs to Vietnam.

From my point of view, both arguments reflect the positive and negative sides. The government needs to consider which are the best one, then make decision based on the true situation of the country.
