1. This should be either "The age difference will be more visible as the couple gets older." or "The age difference was more visible was the couple got older."

2. This sentence is okay.

2. Nowadays, our generation has problems becoming pregnant / with pregnancies even more than our ancestors had.

It's better to say it another way,
