When I get my degree, I will contribute to financial or policy analysis regarding environmental, social and corporate governance issues, helping improve welfare on the basis of green economy.

I want to integrate ESG data into econometrics models. For instance, working on Terra Progress invented by ING, a leader of sustainability, econometricians quantify the impact of investing solar energy and wind farms, measuring how much banks should loan to ESG companies and governments.

I especially intend to explore the topic respecting offshore electricity power investment, for Taiwan has a similar windy environment to Netherlands. I want to apply my profession and observation there to help Taiwanese government assess portfolio and invest infrastructures in the most reliable and efficient policies.

A robust economic environment doesn’t only mean profits, but also includes holistic social welfare. The degree of Econometrics and Operation research paves way for me to achieve my goal.
