In the development of a child, some people argue that there are more benefits for children who take part in outdoor activities than those in indoor activities like computer games. As far as I am concerned, I believe that such activity holds a distinct function for children's development.
On the one hand, it is clear that outdoor games play an important role in the development of children, especially in the physical aspect. Take football for example. Through participating in football, children could improve not only their physical health but also their ability to work with other partners. To become great players, children must be trained to boost their well-being and how to play as a team to compete with others. Therefore, children might develop their physical condition as well as foster sporting spirits. It may be the best way for children to become healthier through involving in outdoor games.
On the other hand, playing indoor activities like computer games are also beneficial for children's growth. Nowadays, there is a wide range of games that could stimulate brain speed. These games contain several visual and audio effects that could actually help players process stimulators. Moreover, certain computer games which have various music and film will enhance multi-tasking skills. For example, an action game requires children to be observed in the game and determine different obstacles at different time points. There is so much information that needs to be checked frequently, such as the time left on the game or the energy remains. Players tend to manage all of these things and thus improve their abilities to multitask. Hence, computer games could also assist the development of children.
To conclude, while outdoor games play an indispensable role in developing the physical health of children, computer games also serve as a vital factor in improving multi-tasking skills and stimulating the brain's development of children. Both activities should be encouraged in the growth of children.
