Hi, Joe—I mean Joseppe.

How do I correctly punctuate “Joseppe” in the following? It would be the equivalent of “Hi, Joe—Joseppe, I mean.” 1, 2, 3, or something else?

1. Hi, Joe—I mean Joseppe.
2. Hi, Joe—I mean “Joseppe.”
3. Hi, Joe—I mean, Joseppe.

Thank you.

In #1, a dash or a comma after Joseppe? I don't follow.

Hi, Joe -- I mean Joseppe -- I would have written sooner, but I couldn't stop laughing at an ordinary joe of Irish descent who insists on Italianizing his first name but who can't spell "Giuseppe." How have you been? It's unseasonably cold here.
