Hi. I wrote some sentences with collocations available. Could anyone can revise them?

  1. high temperatures

A lot of people have got sick recently in the cause of high temperatures spreading throughout residences.

We are riding under light rain without a raincoat and enjoying the feeling of the cool atmosphere.
