The map demonstrates how the layout of the village called Ryemouth has changed since 1995.

It can be seen that there are several alterations. Three of the most noticeable features are a considerable increase in the number of accommodations, the elimination of fishing industry and the establishment of sport facilities.

In 1995, to the south of the village where the fishing industry was located, with a fishing port and numerous fishing markets, however in recent days there has been the introduction of brand new apartments. By contrast, the cafe still has remained. Looking into details, on the other side, a small car park has been built adjacent to the hotel and many restaurants have taken over shops.

On the North side of the village, farmland and forest park has been replaced by golf and tennis centers. When looking at the opposite side to the sports facilities, the road has been extended to the East side of the village and housing has been constructed more and more along the road.
