A glance at the two tables provided reveals the comparative sales of Fairtrade-labelled between coffee and bananas in 1999 and 2004 among five European countries.

As a whole, it is apparent from the figures supplied that the price of two products increased exponentially in the majority of the countries and the most tremendous sales were convinced in UK and Switzerland respectively.

In 1999, having sold approximately 3 millions of Euros, Swittzerland obtain the supreme trade stand before were considerably replaced by UK in the next five years. It could be observed that from negligible 1.5 millions in 1999, Uk handling soared to vicinity of 20 in 2004 which astonishingly recorded more than ten times higer than that of the former year. In the other countries, sale of fairtrade-labelled coffee had experienced an relative rise approxiamtely 0.2 million for 5 years.

Meanwhile, Switzerland was the most gigantic market for the fairtrade-lablled bananas sales with 15 millions Euros handled in 1999 which was higher than the combined sales in other four countries. This number exponentially peaked at 47 millions in 2004 which was more than eight times higher than that of in UK (5.5 millions) which could be witnessed as the second extensive market for this product. Interestingly the sales volume of the fairtrade bananas slightly decline around 0.1 millions or 0.2 millions in Sweden and Denmark in 2004 for several reasons.
