Hi guys. I need your help. I am writing paper. I want someone to help me correct my sentences this is my sentence

"In our paper, we introduce a convolutional neural network architecture that formulates an approach for road-marking recognition."

The grammar is OK, but I don't understand what it means to say that a network formulates an approach. To me, it seems vague and verbose.
