TOPIC: Many people go to university for academic study. More people should be encouraged to do vocational training because there is a lack of qualified worker such as electricians and plumbers. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It comes to me as no surprise that people always put their own priority on attending university rather than vocational education. While it may suit many people, I also believe that doing vocational training should be motivated more to youngsters.

On the one hand, it can not be deniable that enrolling at university brings us a variety of advantages. The first advantage is that students who go to college are well-trained. For example, becoming a professional accountant demands a lot of specialized knowledge that mostly gained through university. The second one is that young people can obtain a lot of opportunities to enhance their self-growth. To be specific, by participating in some clubs such as Tfact- The future accountant at National Economic unniversity in Hanoi, youngsters can not only improve various useful skills such as teamwork, presentation and communication skills but also get on well with other members.

On the other hand, I also believe that vocational education should be encouraged more among the young because of two reasons as follow. To begin with, by doing vocational training, it helps people to cut down on a large amount of tuition fee as well as to reduce the time of studying. It goes without saying that, in Vietnam, people have to finish at least a four- year studying at university for academic education, but taking just two years for a vocational training course. Furthermore, students can practice and get access to reality during the course, which makes them flexible at work. Compared to students at unniversity, those doing vocational training can make better solutions to plenty of real issues, which leads to better performance in their future career.

In brief, I am of the opinion that young people, besides attending unniversity, should be promoted more to join some vocational training courses because of their various benefits.
