Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to you to express my dedication in applying for the Master of Arts in Economic Sciences with a particular focus in specializing Economics, at a prestigious University of XXXXX for the 2011 autumn semester.
In May of 2011 I will be graduating with Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Arts from American University in XXXXX (AUX), which is in partnership with XXXXX Institute of Technology (XIT) from XXXXX, State. My undergraduate studies are focused in dual majors Management, Economics & Statistics and in a minor Public Policy.
By successfully completing a wide range of courses from dual majors and a minor, I have succeeded to combine the acquired knowledge and skills into one critical thinking mechanism, which is capable to address different issues independently and successfully. This assortment in the fields of study helped me realize that I have a special interest towards economics as a core field of study. My open-mindedness, dedication, creativity, and teamwork gave me an advantage during my undergraduate studies, to advance my problem solving skills, analytical skills, and oral/written communication skills. Furthermore, I have acquired substantial knowledge and advanced ability to evaluate, analyze, and draw conclusion about various econometric models and statistical data.
The recent financial global crisis and other economic trends that took place in the national and international level aroused my curiosity, and provoked my strong interest to seek advanced knowledge in economics science. Therefore, I am interested to deepen my knowledge in micro-macroeconomics and extend my understanding of monetary and fiscal mechanisms underlying global/local economic and socio-political phenomena.
My aspiration is to follow a long life journey of seeking academic knowledge in the field of economics, and proactively reinvest the acquired knowledge in different respected public and private institutions dealing with economics and its phenomenon.
In closing, I believe that with a solid foundation laid in the field of economics during my undergraduate studies, and my dedication towards pursuing advanced academic studies at the respected University of XXXXX as part of my Master's program, will enable me to achieve my career goals.
