The bar chart demonstrated various ways of waste disposal in a European country over 3 years starting from 2005 to 2008

Overall, as can be seen from the chart, it’s a clear evidence that the waste disposal decreased over the period. Meanwhile, burning waste disposal witnessed a downward trend at the end of the time frame. Obviously, the landfill method is the highest among three.

In 2005, the landfill method which was the highest one in the comparison with the others started at 70 million tonnes. After that, it decreased dramatically before reaching the bottom of about 40 million tonnes in 2008.

A similar trend could be seen in the dumping in the sea. This figure started at around 55 million tonnes then decreased minimally to 50 million tonnes in 2000 then remained stable in 2006 and 2007. Finally, it witnessed a significant downward trend which makes it hit the bottom of 40 million tonnes. Meanwhile, the burning method which is started at 40 million tonnes in 2007. After that, this figure soared sharply at nearly 65 million tonnes in 2007.
