Topic: The charts below show information about the number of fish caught and the number of fishing boats used in Westhaven.


The bar chart illustrates the information about the numbers of fish caught and boats used for fishing during the same 4 years period from 2008 to 2011 in Westhaven.


It is clear that tuna seemed like more popular than the swordfish throughout the period shown. Also the number of swordfish caught witnessed a considerable increase. Boats used for fishing rose gradually during the same period.


The number of tuna caught maintained a huge increase through every year from 2008 to 2011. It’s figures started at approximately 85000 and reached the highest number in 2011 at well over 110000. In 2008, the number of swordfish caught began at 75000 then rose rapidly in the next year, reached 105000. The swordfish figures showed a sharp fall in 2010, from 105000 down to about 80000 fish caught. However, it rose to the top in the end of the period, peaked at nearly 110000 fish.


During the same period, the number of fishing boats had a stable increase. In the beginning of the period, it started at about 60 boats. The figures hit its peak at 70 boats and trough at 55 boats. There was a slight fluctuation in the number of fish boats.
