The six pie charts give information about the proportion of water consumption used for three categories in North America, South America, Europe Africa, Central Asian And South East Asia.
It is clear that water consumption for Agriculture accounts for the largest proportion in Africa, Central Asia, South East Asia and south America. By contrast, the figures for Industry in North America an Europe are larger than other two categories.
Over 80% of water are used for Agriculture in Central Asia and South East Asia. similarly, the figure for South America also very high, at 71%. Meanwhile, the percentages of water agricultural use in North America and Europe are only 39%. 32% respectively.
In terms of industrial use, the amounts of water consumption in North American and Europe were roughly 50%. However, only 10%, 12% of water are used in South America and South East Asia and the figures for other three countries are under 10 %. Overall, the proportions of water used for homes are smallest in almost six areas, with a range from 7% to 19%. the highest number belongs to South Asia and the lowest number belongs to Central Asia
