TOPIC: Every year several languages die out. Some people think that this is not important because life will be easier if there are fewer languages in the world?

Language is the best and the easiest way to communicate to each other. In fact, it is alarmed that several languages die out each year. However, some people think that this will make the life easier. In my point of view, I partly disagree with this opinion.

It’s the fact that there are over 60 different languages all around the world. As the result, it is actually difficult to talk to different people, especially when they are from different countries. With the globalization and the development of social networks such as Facebook or Twister, people nowadays are easy to make friends or travel around the world. Therefore, it would be more convenient if everyone speaks the same language. Moreover, as the natural rule, the more complex the language is, the fewer people use it.

Nevertheless, it is very crucial to maintain the languages of each nation because the languages are the countries’ legacies. Firstly, language is the product of the country’s history. It reflects our tradition and our culture as well as shows how ancestors built and protected our country in the past. For example, the language written on the pyramid helps people know ancient people worked and communicated thousand years ago. Secondly, language is also the pride, the icon of the country. It is clear that we are fully proud of our country because we have our own special language

To sum up, there is no doubt that it will be easier to work, study and travel if there are fewer languages in the world. However, it had better maintain these legacies because they are the reflection of each countries’ history and cultures
