"Down the road" = "at some point in time in the future."

It may not help him today, but it will help him at some point in the future.

I appreciated your help much.

Another question, please ! ^^

"Human beings are wired to be pleasure seekers". What does "wire" mean in this sentence? Thanks in advance.
0
It suggests we are robots or machines that have been programmed to seek pleasure. We are, by our natures, creatures that seek pleasure.

You means "wire" has the same meaning "create" . that is right?

And besides, in this sentence " we must see the full equation to see if the motivations balance out " , I have question about "balance out" . There are bad and good motivations and when the writer said " balance out" that means he wants us to ask if the motivations are equal in both good side and bad side. that's right?

No, you can't think of "wire" as the same as "create." You can, perhaps, think of it as the same (in a metaphorical sense) of "design and construct."

Your understanding of balance is correct. It's a good idea to start new questions about unrelated topics in new threads.
