Hi english experts, help to write

experts, what wrong in those tenses?
  1. I was fortunate enough not to lose / not to have lost my money.
  2. That would have meant losing you and I wasn't willing to.
  3. We couldn't [have] afford[ed] to wait this long.
  4. Alcohol brings out the truth. / brings out your true personality.
