Hi, Dear mentors can help me with these sentences. regards

the raven imprinted on my mother and me and begged us incessantly for feeding it with the broth when it was hungry. As the raven got acquainted with us, it became wary in its behavior against my mother and recognized her as its sole parent. But it was soon able to stuff food down its throat by itself. It would stand up and stretch its necks toward my mother through the box when it was hungry.

Can ask the reason of changing from for feeding to to feed is it the role that beg almost always followed by to, it is just a preference?
Seceondly the raven was never afraid of my mother it somehow sensed my mother and did not do anything she didn't like (like making and spilling dirt around on the carpet). What and or how I would describe this then?
thanks a l

thanks a l
