Hi ! Could you please check my essay

Hemingway Hills like wite elephants. At the end of the story in our book Frederick Busch's critic essay.
We had to look through it and find what of his statements are opposed to my opinion. Here is what I wrote. Thank you for your help.

Frederic Busch, in his critic essay on Hills Like White Elephants, suggests that this story is about a man requesting his wife to get an abortion. He also states that the man will win. In his analysis we can see that the girl is wooing the man not to force her to do the abortion. Yet, with the vague dialogue Hemingway uses, this story could be interpreted any way. However, in my point of view this story is about the lack of communication and couples relationship.
In Frederick Busch’s critic we can see that the author sates that the Hemingway short story’s theme is about an abortion. In my opinion the theme is not fully about abortion. The central idea of the story is lack of good communication may frustrate important decision-making. The girl looks across at the hills. When she mentions the hills and how they look like white elephants, the American fails to see the beauty in that. “They ‘re lovely hills,” she said. “ They don’t really look like white elephants. I just meant the coloring of their skin through the trees.” “ Should we have another drink?” It's symbolic of how a man doesn’t understand a woman, and he fails to see the value of the child within her womb because a 'white elephant' applied to the baby in the story. It is also known as an unwanted and burdensome gift. He, like a lot of men, doesn't understand pregnancy or abortion and the effects either has on all women. The couple is at a major crossroad in their relationship; do they chose to start a family or do they try to go back to the way things were before by going through with the abortion.
Secondly, Busch’s says that the man might be her husband. In my point of view she is not his wife. Most likely they are lovers who travel around the country. "That's all we do isn't it? Look at things and try new drinks" The fact that they were drinking so much, reflects on the type of relationship that they have - worry free, carefree. When the girl makes this comment, it seems as though she is sick of it. All they do is drink, they have no responsibility, and the man wants to keep it that way. Note also that Hemingway refers to Jig as "The girl" and to the other as "the man" or the American. Perhaps this is to show the age difference between them since he didn't choose the word "woman" to describe Jig.
I completely disagree with the author that American will win. After reading and analyzing this story several times, I've came to the conclusion that, despite the couple's problems and the man's tendency to control the situation, Jig 'wins' in the end and doesn't go through with the abortion. American says "I'd do anything for you". He doesn’t' want to keep the baby but he'll allow her too if that’s what she wants. "The girl smiled brightly at the woman to thank her" "I'd better take the bags over to the other side of the station,”..."She smiled at him". The last few line of Hemingway's story seem to suggest that the American has taken the bags to the fertile side of the station, meaning that Jig is going to experience life.

I read the story a long time ago and I don't remember much of it.

But I'm with you. I didn't get the sense that they were married.

I haven't read much Hemingway, but given the author's own "carefree" lifestyle, I'd say he's most likely portarying a pair of lovers, not a married couple.

Just my 2 cents. Perhaps a lurking Hemingway expert would care to chime in???

The reason why I am writing this essay is because I really would like to attend the University of Georgia. I am the person who always thinls about her future, that is why I tried to make my best in high school, earning good grades and learning as much as I can to be well prepared for college. The quality I like best in myself is that I am always planning and thinking about my future to achieve
