My college admission test includes an essay exam. Could you check for grammatical errors or in content-wise. If it's appropriate or not. Thank you!

Why do people attend college?

Colleges are the highest form of education a student can normally have. There are many reasons why people attend colleges and it serves a lot of different purposes. It is a place where people can specialize into a certain area of study. It can also be a place to socialize with many ethically, culturally and nationally-diverse people and not just from your district. Colleges also serve as a bridge between teenage hood and adulthood. But overall, colleges are open doors that help you achieve your goals.
First of all, people attend colleges to learn a deeper and wider range of education than high school. We do learn a wide range of subjects at high schools, yet the quality of education is quite shallow and test-oriented. It is at colleges where we get to deepen into a specific area of studies. And rather than learning it to just pass tests, what we learn actually connects with our future jobs. For example, someone mastering science might use it to become and engineer or a scientist. It is likely to utilize our college studies for future use.
Colleges are a global enlargement of high schools. Both colleges and high schools have peers and teachers and subjects to learn. But at colleges, the students are from all over the world and not just from your district. By socializing with many different people who are from different nations but also know different languages, have different character and hobbies, you get to broaden your way of thinking and learn cooperation skills as a group.
Colleges stand in-between the phase of teenage hood and adulthood, preparing you for a society you aren’t just ready yet. Society is cruel—it doesn’t accept mistakes and doesn’t give second chances. It pushes you down and doesn’t help you back up. Colleges prepare you for that. They teach you to know what you should know and help you meet peers who will help you stand back up.
There are various reasons for why people go to college. Some go to learn, some to socialize, and some to prepare themselves for society. Either way, once you go to college, you come out as a different you. You’ve learned and changed into someone new. Not going to college isn’t so bad, but you’ll definitely miss out on a lot of things.
