For instance, in the past, vendors used to exercise monopoly when there was no competition between dealers. However, today with the presence of technology people are able to purchase their favorite products not only at the push of a button but also at a competitive price. A key reason for this is that the Internet has revolutionized the shopping process and has made everyone able to reach a large number of virtual stores and select the price that suits them.

On the other hand, e-shopping has brought catastrophes to our societies, most importantly if converted the state of people from being active to being idle. For example, people nowadays have access to the Internet where they can purchase their goods without the need to walk and burn calories, which is indispensable to their health. This, in turn, will cause people to gain more weight and become obese due to the lack of walking. Furthermore, shopping from the Internet has reduced the demand in buying from physical stores that sell their products for high prices as well as some stores are now being pressured due to the lack of demand to advertise their products online. Consequently, this will result in a growth in prices to balance the expenditure that was spent on advertising.

In conclusion, although e-shopping has reinvigorated the shopping process and assisted people in choosing a wide variety of products at low prices, it has increased the level of competition among sellers to force them to decrease their prices.
