The chart illustrates the amount of trash, divided into four types, collected by a recycling centre over five time periods. Units are measured in tons.
Overall, the amount of garbage, in four categories: paper, glass, tins and garden, was the greatest in 2015. The paper type was the most collected over all five time periods, while the garden waste had the lowest rate.
With regards to the amount of paper recycled, it started at 57 tons in 2011, then dropped to 40 tons in 2013. However, there was a dramatic growth in the next years, from 51 tons in 2014 to 70 tons in 2015. The proportion of glass collected (48 tons) exceeded that of paper in 2013. It continued to fluctuate slightly, with the highest of 51 tons in 2015.
The garden trash recycled had the lowest figure, only 13 tons in 2012, which was approximately half the weight of tins, at 27 tons in the same year. Three years later, the rate of garden waste and tins shared the same pattern and both peaked at 35 tons and 39 tons respectively in 2015.
