Hi can anyone check if this makes sense?

I'm sure he will understand, tell him that it's too expensive for me to get to college and not really point as if I'm staying for short time at college.

I'm sure he will understand. T ell him that it's too expensive for me to get to college, and there is no real point if I would only stay for a short time.

Can you tell me why my sentence is wrong, why can't I use as if?

The comma incorrectly joins two separate sentences. It should be a period.

The phrase 'not really point' makes no sense to me as written.
