Hi

Fortunately about a month later things started looking a little brighter, I decided I had had enough and became apart of the butterfly project, this is also when I realised how important a certain person was when they were the first person I turned to.

Can any why had had is used in this sentense and is it correct and is there another way of saying it without the had had

how about this?
