Many people have pets. Other people don’t. In your opinion, is it a good idea to have a pet, such as a bird, dog, or cat? Why or why not? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer




There are different reasons why many people have pets; some may argue that pets are annoying if they are in a reduced space, such as an apartment, some others states that they are unconditional and lovely. Who is right?

Those who like pets say that they are as their best friend, even though they can not speak together. Why people want a pet? I will tell you: because, pets could be a friend, a child, a sister or brother, even they can be a doctor.

I have heard many stories about couples who do not want to have babies, but they have a pet such as a bird, a dog or a cat (along the time, a link is created and the couple see their pet as a person instead as an animal).

On the other hand, animals could be the best doctor for a child with a genetic disease, as it has been said; a complex link could be created between owners and pets, such a miracle link that can a child getting better.

On the contrary, those who do not like pets have irrefutable reasons; transmitting diseases to pregnant women, a number of persons are allergic to some animals, and sometimes getting animals in small places could become in a terrible disaster. But if animals are handled well, all of these problems could be avoid.

Personally, I would prefer to have a pet, such as a dog. Despite pets could be a problem, It seems to me that animals are understanding, lovely, tender and cute, they can be our friends (true friends), they are always on our side, no matter if we are wrong. And think about this: none animal would leave its kid, instead human beings are capable to do whatever they want without any remorse.
