"He/she is the (adverb) person I'm yet to meet."

Hello all.

So I have been debating with a fellow student, over another person's use of English.
The exact sentence was; "He is the nicest person I'm yet to meet."

Now he believe's that this is completely incorrect, and that the correct way to say it would be; "I'm yet to meet a nicer person."

I agree that this is a better way of writing it, however I cannot be certain that the first statement is entirely 'incorrect'.

Could someone please shed some light on this?

Thank you.

I think there is a difference in meaning between "He is the nicest person I'm yet to meet" and "I'm yet to meet a nicer person". The first sentence is wrong because you didnt add whom between person and I'm. In my opinion 'He is the nicest person whom I'm yet to meet' is the correct version.

It's illogical.
If you're "yet to meet him," you have no basis on which to judge his niceness. (You haven't met him yet.)

This is not idiomatic.
It would mean perhaps that you have met several very nice people, and
