He's my favorite ________ comic book characters.

The clip starts with Jimmy Kimmel saying:

"I love Spider-Man. He's my favorite ________ comic book characters."

There seems to be something in the blank, because without anything in the blank the second sentence wouldn't make sense with the plural "characters".

But it's hard to hear what it is that Jimmy said in the blank, if any.
