He's loving it! - stative verbs

Hi

"He's loving it!"

Would this be considered bad grammar inasmuch as stative verbs are not to be used in continuous tenses?

If this is an exception, how would we characterize it?

Thanks! - A.

Many so-called "stative" verbs have their dynamic uses, and the progressive is properly used Bobby's being a bad boy today. (being bad = behaving badly) We're having company for dinner. (have = entertain) He's loving it!

The exception, I’d say, is that it’s idiomatic. It’s even in McDonald’s slogan: I’m lovin’ it.

(Shouldn’t that be McDonald’s’ or McDonald’s’s ?
