I just did a search in the internet. It seems that "he's four brothers" isn't acceptable. Has/have to show possesion isn't allowed to be contracted. I hope this link will be helpful. http://www.1-language.com/englishcourse/unit19_grammar.htm

No you can't contract it this way unless it's an auxiliary verb
He is = He's - Correct
He has eaten all the cookies = He's eaten all the cookies - also correct
He has a big pack of cookies = He's a big pack of cookies - incorrect

You may contract HAVE/HAS only when it's an auxiliary verb!!!
Not a meaning verb of possession!

I just noticed something and I may be wrong but: He has got a big pack of cookies = He's got a big pack of cookies. So if you include "got" it is ok. Right?

I've done my homework.
Peter's gone to Moscow.
They've got a new computer.

HAVE as a main verb

When HAVE as a main verb means ta
