He's been interested in music

He's been interested in music.

Is interested an adjective or verb in the sentence above?

-----------------------------------------------

On the one hand, I see it as an adjective, a complement of He, on the other, I'm a bit confused by the PP "in music". Is "interested in" a prepositional verb with its complement "music", and the whole sentence is a kind of pseudo-passive construction?
