Here's your trick

Hi,
A boy threw a water balloon at his friend and said "Here's your tick!".
What did he mean? What exactly is the "trick"?

Thanks,
Ryo

" The idea is that if someone does not give you a treat, you play a trick on them. When I was a kid, tricks could be writing bad names on the person's windows with soap, or turning over their garbage cans. A few years ago, a favorite trick was to decorate the trees in front of the house with toilet paper.

Was it during Halloween - where kids play "Trick or Treat?"
