Hi When I give somebody something, I would normally say: "here you have it." Is this correct or does it imply instead for example the process of looking for an object and then finding it and giving it to a person? Maybe I'm splitting hairs here, but I'd like to make what I'm saying look the most natural possible.

If you are simply giving somebody something then 'Here you have it' is not natural; ''Here you are' is.
