Here we come!

When we use 'Here we come!", I feel like it is used for the meaning of "We have come here!" or for the past. So the meaning is not a general habit and something is omitted, right? Or should we just take it as an idiom and come is used as a present tense?

Thank you so much as always and I hope to make my question clear.
