00 An Old Miser 02br
00 In Han Dynasty, there was an old, mean-natured man ,with large amount of property but any child. Wearing clothes always with patches, and eating vegetables never(rather than)(which is better?) meat, he got up at dawn and went to bed at dusk. As for management of his property, he was never tired of (was by no means satisfied with) accumulating wealth , but spent money as little as possible. One day, there was a beggar followed him so closely that he had no way but came back home to fetch 10 coins. He dropped a few coins as he waddled across the hall of his house so that there were only half of them left in his hands when he returned to the door. Then , reluctantly ,he handed over the coins to the beggars with eye closing. Finally the miser enjoined the beggar to secrecy again and again: “ I am so generous to empty my house in order to relief you , so you must keep it secrecy otherwise the others will rush to me like you .” 02br
00 Before long, the miser died, and all his houses, lands and money were confiscated by local government. 0-
