Here is a situation, help explain

Could you correct the way I've explained the situation and what I said if it is suitable?

I hit her the the arm by mistake she feigned pain and since I got mad thinking she had faked it, she decided to keep up the story that it hurt.

This is what I said:

You took it too far. You can't come back from it. Now you can't act as if it didn't hurt.
