Why not "come" when there are 2 persons in second sentence. That is why I asked the question.

two reasons:

1. "Bride and bridegroom" as a couple, one pair.
2. When a sentence begins with "Here" and the subject follows the verb, either the singular or plural form of the verb could be used.
