Herding people

Hi

At the other end of the spectrum, we also know of many nomadic herding peoples – such as the Bedouin of North Africa – who have few possessions and little economic specialisation and yet are still extremely hierarchical.

--- Does "herding people" mean those who take care of cows for example, then kill them and eat?
