Herd

0 My daughter is in 5th Grade and just got her "Zebra" report back. Her teacher took points off because she used the term "herd of zebra." The teacher claims that it should be herds of zebraS. Can someone point me to a specific grammar rule to dispute this? Thank you very much! 0-
